<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Good Morning all...that is if you're in the United States...I am updating more of the<a href="https://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=1679791794265003488#editor/target=post;postID=5585735132056389595;onPublishedMenu=allposts;onClosedMenu=allposts;postNum=1;src=postname"> <span style="color: #e06666;">toddler coat</span></a> I've been knitting. Managed to get the sleeves done over the weekend..in fact..it was so nice outside I even mowed the lawn. Amazing how the weather can affect your moods...I think next winter I'm going add murals of spring to all my windows, buy a couple birds, keep the heat up so it feels like summer. Wonder if this would really work, hmm, yes I would be one to try it...should it happen surely I will post. So the<span style="color: #cc0000;"> <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby--toddler-tiered-coat-and-jacket"><span style="color: #cc0000;">sweater</span> </a></span>was so easy and quick Emma <a href="http://cozynesting.blogspot.com/2015/11/simply-stunning.html"><span style="color: #cc0000;">(my grand daughter)</span></a> is coming over this week to see if the yarn and gauge to match is a true 4T I am so hoping. The photographs arg, inside light at night just is not true to colors especially reds...the color is closest to the next photograph. When it's completed hanging it outside to photo. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdUGoW7NcqqJw5naFPC_WCvI0adgphktKHjCjeCmU_AA4fZR89J1_mr72KXtRyfj8VC3anjNUZpEvqOoDMSqXk07jTgYf0qVEi5B7qRg5dhXHD_44EwyS45tn8hv_DmcZyo1Cn98X_bzzt/s1600/sweater+coat+004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="418" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdUGoW7NcqqJw5naFPC_WCvI0adgphktKHjCjeCmU_AA4fZR89J1_mr72KXtRyfj8VC3anjNUZpEvqOoDMSqXk07jTgYf0qVEi5B7qRg5dhXHD_44EwyS45tn8hv_DmcZyo1Cn98X_bzzt/s640/sweater+coat+004.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will knit another in the recommended expensive yarn if this yarn is not giving me a true size 4T...I realize the better the yarn the better the stitch definition and fitting of garment...yet knitting for a toddler think of expensive yarn, not. I do try to come as close as possible. I am satisfied with the outcome, it's not finished yet, and yes the buttons are just laid on explaining the one on the wrong side. Blocking it today, then add a lining that coordinates with the buttons...and the makings of the hat. Now, what project to start and complete next...so far I've kept my promise to myself to complete every project I begin before starting another...now if I could only apply that to my home. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am just not the best at home organizing, although, I do know where every single thing is in the house...so in my mind it's organized to suit me.<br />
All information is on the red link above for the yarn used, pattern and more...be back soon with a photograph once it's truly completed.</div>

Hello All....hope your day is going well...the weather has been sunny and beautiful it sure is nice to see spring colors. Nature renewing herself is my favorite time of year.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I've been working this <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/baby--toddler-tiered-coat-and-jacket"><span style="color: #cc0000;">Tiered Baby and Toddler Coat </span></a>by Lisa Chemery using <a href="http://www.loveknitting.com/us/lion-brand-heartland-thick-and-quick?gclid=CLa3i9rNk8wCFUgehgodb7YKEQ&currency=USD&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=209504473&utm_term=lion%20brand%20heartland%20thick%20and%20quick"><span style="color: #cc0000;">Lion Brand Heartland</span></a>. It's not the best photograph was taken with my cell phone. It is a very easy pattern and can be altered if you're up on knitting, at least a bit experienced. I am considering a Video to walk anyone who would like to make this coat to follow along. I am going to remake it using the <a href="http://www.loveknitting.com/us/catalogsearch/result/?order=relevance&dir=desc&q=Cascade+128+superwash"><span style="color: #cc0000;">Cascade 128 yarn</span></a> suggested and see how it turns out. This weekend the coat itself will be completed as far as knitting, however, I purchased a coordinating fabric for a lining. I made this coat in a size 4 T on number 9 needles to get the proper gauge. As soon as it's complete I will photograph (even if the lining has not been added) to give you a bit of a Tah-Dah moment.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Good morning, it's so much like spring right now it's hard to believe I am knitting socks, and, still smitten with them. Although spring has the grass green and trees sprouting leaves, in just a day, it will get cold and dreary. Mother Nature in the Spring and Fall is so fickle. Making it perfect to keep knitting along, so this gal is not complaining, by any means.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkQyjo4r9jsbl6ScRWGqkoMZbD2wMCgyXyFid8e9c6eWqbdtft5ybI-vb68ejqOTcCmjZw35SDyGmQx87QLFMluMg9JEdX1auHuH2qeVfvLF8wHwqO-Lq_vy16j7AC50SgtdpNgIBkifsF/s1600/socks+007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkQyjo4r9jsbl6ScRWGqkoMZbD2wMCgyXyFid8e9c6eWqbdtft5ybI-vb68ejqOTcCmjZw35SDyGmQx87QLFMluMg9JEdX1auHuH2qeVfvLF8wHwqO-Lq_vy16j7AC50SgtdpNgIBkifsF/s640/socks+007.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Actually these are more like footie socks which I have really grown to love, especially how they fit. They are so easy to knit, I did these while watching a night of <i>"Love Comes Softly Series" </i>by Michael Landon Jr. The series are heartfelt all set in the 19th century based on a series of books by <span style="color: #e06666;"><span style="color: #e06666;"><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Comes_Softly"><span style="color: #e06666;">Janette Oke.</span></a> </span> </span>I just fall in love every time I watch them, they lift the spirit, and settle the soul. I learn something new with every viewing that keeps me watching even more...the clothes, the simple life...and struggles of their own. A time when hand quilting, working yarn, cooking over the fireplace a true handmade meal with a simple place setting. I adore the warmth of heart in these kinds of films.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji06ejoap-6b8YwjgrT-IyldCx0h9yXeWCH_h1ThqHgmbKTIf4n_D4oOtBH-0MclFjr4RUeYP8yDAnWGkt19JEJcaEXZrNef8_QU4Jsdma093OLEp1mG1ba4R7DPtY6yYVL1Bt-OQN9h2S/s1600/socks+006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji06ejoap-6b8YwjgrT-IyldCx0h9yXeWCH_h1ThqHgmbKTIf4n_D4oOtBH-0MclFjr4RUeYP8yDAnWGkt19JEJcaEXZrNef8_QU4Jsdma093OLEp1mG1ba4R7DPtY6yYVL1Bt-OQN9h2S/s640/socks+006.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So the socks were knitted top down a totally different design, which I need to locate, so I can direct you to the pattern. These are done using <a href="http://www.loveknitting.com/us/patons-us-kroy-socks?gclid=CMXFn5iG7csCFddahgoduA4Okw&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=US&currency=USD&sku=YPA008_55102"><span style="color: #e06666;">Paton's Kroy Sock Yarn</span></a> and it is a dream to work with on the needles. The colors are amazing, some solids and others that are multi colored, in a variety of combinations. The pricing is well within my range and that's not bad at all. These are for my daughter and will be mailed and on there way as soon as I knit a couple more of them. The socks are lying on a baby blanket I've been crocheting, yes, I picked up the hook and really not liking it much at all. I am working a simple blanket in worsted weight left over yarns, cream color, will be adding a bit of silver blue. The stitch is a simple combination of single and double crochet. I will continue on until it's completed and speaking of completing. I have keep my vow to finish a project before going on to a new one. Yippy! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Enjoy your day and keep on using those needles and hooks!</div>

In 1990 I received a call from you, asking me to meet you at a restaurant on Route 250. We sat and caught up on our children and lives. Then you hit me with a question.." My husband is cheating with my brother's wife. My husband knows I know and now I don't know what to do." My dear friend, this is what I said.."if you can forgive him and more important live with it never mention it again...then yes." I apologize with a different but heavy heart. Women should for themselves STAND UP...and NOT SIT...when it comes to there own space take control of there own lives even in relationships. Just as we want Women to stand up in the work place and in this Country. I should have told you than to pack and run. Why, morals your morals are the highest of importance they impact your life when tampered with.. can change who you are in to many ways..and that is wrong. In return your trust compass is off and your future choices are not only a falsehood, but are growing roots of fear that everyone is the same.To tell anyone to stay with someone who cheated goes against every moral value a Woman has inside. We compromise trust and allow the lies, secrets, once emerge like roots from a tree (when found) to become a comfort zone to what we think is normal. It's not...a Women who stays with a cheater is saying " I have no morals nor do I have any value without them." And that my friend is not only a sign of weakness...its is a lie to yourself that will build a wall so huge you many never recover. Forgiveness to the cheater is off the table. Forgiveness of your own heart to move on is all that is required...lust of the heart, emotional love, physical love, etc... for another is so incredibly wrong on </span><span style="background-color: white; color: #141823; font-family: "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.38;">every moral level...it changes the victim in far to many ways that can not be reversed. In the sub of the mind they are still there...imprinted forever if no action is taken. If this letter should change your decision now... I say... go with your heart and head held up high..knowing you can not change the imprint...but....you can erase it with freedom to be true to yourself, morals and values. After all... this is what life is all about... a four letter word called Love...which involves all I have written. You are like every women in this Country... worth more than just winning rights in America...you have the right to exercise all those values on to yourself. Your own personal power is just as precious as the power Women argue for in this County. You are valuable, you are worth every breathe you take..With all my love, Pamela. P.S. whenever your instincts tell you something is off or has changed about a person in a relationship...trust them...they are your Truth they exisit inside you for so many reasons... there to protect just you...instincts are your best and only true friend. If they tell you something is wrong, you feel a person is cheating...no need to ask..once they arise you already know the answer...what you do with it is what matters the most.</span><span style="background-color: white; Hello young fellow...and to those who visit my blog. I thank you for popping in and apologize for not posting lately. I am a portrait photographer who knits and crochets, plus does some nature photography which landed me in the ER with an inner ear infection. Not the best kind to have by all means lends ones balance to be a bit shaky. I am finally moving around a bit and knitting, oh how I love the needles, yet, craving a bit of the hook lately too.</div>

I am doing my very best to complete one project at a time, which started with my apartment, and came to a halt when the weather changed. This has me weaving in and out of sorts, around tubs and boxes, trying to store things I don't use and get organized. Not one of my favorite things, organizing I just don't like it, besides it doesn't stay that way for long and go figure it's just me now. I think how is this happening then I remember I love creating and that leads to messes. Which I don't have to clean up asap as I live by myself....ah, I love to do at my own pace.</div>

I am however still a bit crazy with the socks, it is so addicting, and so much fun! If you haven't tried it don't fear it's easier than one might think...isn't that beach just, WOW? It was warm that day yet a bit breezy and felt good just the same. I love the sound of the wind, the lake, the waves, the birds, it's all so relaxing, calmness for the soul.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
At the end of the day I saw this feather and just had to photograph. Anyone who remembers the movie Forest Gump would know what he said about a feather...<i>"I don't know if we each have a destiny, or if we're all just floating around accidentally, like on a breeze. Maybe it's both, maybe both are happening at the same time."</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I do know for sure we are all a huge part of this planet, yet most don't see or for that acknowledge it, we just go about our day as if it's just another room a place to get from here to there...the problem...if we continue to not see that the dirt, the air, and the sun are a huge part of us, and we a part of it...we are going to continue to kill Mother Earth. Take notice how odd the weather has become, how growing veggies and flowers are dying off, sprouting too early.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's like we are on a bus with a hundred people and about to hit a brick wall, (represent Mother Natures last chance for change) and everyone is fighitng over where they want to sit. As part of this planet, we all have a responsiblity to Mother Nature, to protect and nourish her for your children and their children...<i>it won't be long and it will be too late for all those children to come. Right now we are all just at a point where it's nearly too late. PLEASE take off your blinders and realize Mother Nature needs our help just as much as we have to rely, yes rely on her.</i></div>

I am currently closing the toe, and yes, I designed this all by myself. It took tons of times ripping it out, yet I didn't mind, as I watched LMN (Lifetime Movie Network) movie after movie...I love that about that channel and the movies are just awesome. I love a thrill ride and unexpected situations in a movie. A bit of romance at times I will turn on Lifetime Channel and it's cool for awhile, yet really, how much romance can one watch in 6 decades of life. Knowing full well the days of me being young and kissing a hard body...Whoops...is over...unless I randomly walk up to a younger man and plant one...while I would say, hell yes, he might be going.. um what!! Note to sell..this could be a really good thing to add to bucket list Ha Ha! I will be posting the pattern in easy to follow instructions.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I suppose one can call me the sock lady in the neighborhood. I just seem to keep knitting more and more of them. Although this yarn has been a bit challenging.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKyN9LV0X5MOdLWHThJMjgEIbQzGaPut_oqkYJGRKz9wq1vmSWTrOyZTU2M98DvemjpTaBkNYbYKn2YQAmK__0gygB3ufGaQ6Y3O8VB3FDP7op7nB0F9SdAnBHQ6LJGxibEfI1YMU4dCAw/s1600/IMG_7293.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="490" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKyN9LV0X5MOdLWHThJMjgEIbQzGaPut_oqkYJGRKz9wq1vmSWTrOyZTU2M98DvemjpTaBkNYbYKn2YQAmK__0gygB3ufGaQ6Y3O8VB3FDP7op7nB0F9SdAnBHQ6LJGxibEfI1YMU4dCAw/s640/IMG_7293.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I decided to just knit a sock on my own and it worked out really well, especially after I learned a bit more about how it works... I have been using sock weight yarn and decided to use what I had here at the house. This is Bernat yarn DK weight which I love so much more than Red Heart. I am not a fan of their yarn by all means. Bernat or Paton is my go to locally and online it's Cascades and more upscale yarns depending on what I am making. I am so proud of myself as one of my goals this year was to learn more about knitting. I am learning a ton, tricks and tips, ways to figure making my own patterns. Like this sock I learned with this DK weight Bernat Yarn on size 2 needles I knit 6.5 stitches per inch. I took it down to 6 as I tend to knit a bit loose. With my daughters ankle measurement being 8 inches in circumference I simply multiplied the number of stitches I knit which was 6... by the size of my daughters ankle which is 8. That means I would cast on 48 stitches it worked out perfect and the best thing I like about making socks is the heel...I just love it and the fact my daughter now has socks that fit perfectly. What was the challenging part it takes more time for me working with DK yarn instead of sock yarn to make a set of socks. But for me it's worth it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Being a photographer of children at one time in my life one would think I would take more interesting photo's to display my work. I tell ya people it is often exhausting to put it all together just so the photo looks appealing. I'm not about the shot anymore I am all about the project.</div>

Following many blogs I have found many talented and creative people. Which is why I find this day and age of the internet so exciting. Growing up we didn't have all this technology we lived in our own little part of the world, in a small town and never thought about how many creative people where out there. It's kind of like sitting in your living room watching TV and nothing else exist. I'm sure you know what I am talking about...so when the Internet came along it opened up a whole new world and allowed us to see just how many people on this place called Earth, were so incredibly talented.</div>

In the course of the day of photographing...this one became the most unusual. My little bunny, Bo, came near me as I aimed the camera and capture his picture...oddly enough...I don't know how this happened and couldn't produce it again if I tried...where is Bo's head...I have no idea. It is a wild image. On the creative end I am still knitting socks as I told my daughter I am a knitting sock fool. It's so much fun I just keep knitting and knitting away. I truly never would have thought knitting socks would be so calming and addictive....I am learning to make more knitting patterns of my own. I found a really cool aged device in my collections of knitting items over the years. So far, I am really beginning to understand the process and it feels good to have it all finally make sense.</div>

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX9ijyQ5XqBTYgW-eD7SMSvM0x39SyykDt0OIRWepc35SPZCJTsLeXDfw61cR5CX3YK6hegTQKV9Z_7WgYJQCVN4wlkhPdaO4RI3mNOttrXcLFMJzbnmTiLQ60cyg4pCLgUN9DhMNbW7y7/s1600/IMG_7042.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="372" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjX9ijyQ5XqBTYgW-eD7SMSvM0x39SyykDt0OIRWepc35SPZCJTsLeXDfw61cR5CX3YK6hegTQKV9Z_7WgYJQCVN4wlkhPdaO4RI3mNOttrXcLFMJzbnmTiLQ60cyg4pCLgUN9DhMNbW7y7/s640/IMG_7042.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The weather has changed and is so conducive for knitting, although, I am not fond of this cold, crazy, weather that has us now walking outside bundled up like a well wrapped burrito. I think I'm hungry...note to self eat when finished posting. LOL! I often wonder why I still stay in this bizarre weather going from one season to another...the gloomy winter days. Yet, I still find myself here I suppose its the delightful feeling one gets when spring arrives. So I must stop complaining and enjoy the fact I can knit in the comfort of a warm home without having to run outside and check the garden. So much to do outside in the warm season kntting tends to get left stagnate, needles lying there wondering why there are collecting dust. I am not much of a knitter in the warmer seasons. I just don't like the feel of the yarn in my hands on warmer days. So be it I still love to knit!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Of course, when a pair of socks knit into a miss-matched pair of why did this happen question, then I think okay all that work and they don't match. Same die lot, same yarn and this is what happens. So I am knitting one more to see what I end up with...at best if one disappears in the laundry (which happens and no one can explain it yet) at least I will have an extra.</div>

Today is the kind of day for sitting by the wood burner catching a glimpse of the flames and knitting socks. I have finished one and now working the other. Most people do socks on circular needles working both at the same time, I prefer the double pointed needles. Sock Syndrome which is what happens to many after completing one sock, the desire to do the other seems to halt. I enjoy making socks so I am fine doing one at a time. I can not tell one the joy I have found in this knitting of socks. Strange as it may seem I find it relaxing and fun at the same time. A new found love of knitting for me. I am not a winter baby, don't enjoy winter sports other than I do so love football and look forward to the playoffs and the Super Bowl. I am also looking forward to knitting while watching the Alabama College Game. I plan to make knitting and learning new ways and patterns a big part of this year. I also plan on trying to find a place or spot for photographing my work. This winter has been rather kind to us with no snow and warmer temps until this year. I am grateful for the calmer winter opposed to the past two winters which were brutal. With my children all grown and raising their own children the house is quiet with exceptions of Bo Bunny and Bella the cat. Both are pretty quiet pets in fact right now (as I call them my children) they are sleeping. I truly enjoy the quiet, yet, the sounds of all the little things I hear in the house... I never paid much attention to when my children where still living at home. It's rather new found sounds I've never heard before, and it's nice, I enjoy discovering new things everyday. What a blessing it is to be able to have all six senses in tack. I am so very grateful.</div>

Happy New Year all...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am sure everyone is tired of hearing that and are settling in to the New Year. I plan on working more with yarn and trying new knitting patterns, and new techniques I've never done before this year...like socks. This is my first pair ever, and I loved making them so much so I've already completed another pair, and working on a few pairs for my daughter. Again these are the<a href="http://www.marymaxim.com/free-ankle-socks-pattern.html"> <span style="color: red;"><i>Bernat</i> <i>pattern</i> </span></a>which wasn't to bad and I quite like the way they turned out. I did change a few things on the pattern after I knitted a single practice sock. I always do that when I knit something, first I check my gauge. I knit rather loosely, so I go down a needle size first to check the gauge, and I'm usually spot on with it...I also changed the ribbing on the second sock which I like a lot better. As far as socks go they were easy and are quite comfy. This is<a href="http://www.redheart.com/yarn/heart-sole"> <i><span style="color: red;">Red Heart</span></i></a><span style="color: red;"> </span>yarn <i>Heart & Sole, </i>although it fit nicely I am not real fond of the yarn. It is fingering and is light weight as far as socks go, not real thick, or heavy. In all, I am satisfied with this pattern it worked ankle to toe...I plan on doing the toe up to see which way I prefer to knit socks. I hope you do try them if you've never knitted a sock there is a fantastic <i><a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4A74B32E9221418B"><span style="color: #cc0000;">tutorial</span></a></i> that will guide you all the way.</div>

Happy Knitting this year!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's really been awhile since I've popped in and posted. I didn't mean to be gone so long, but there have been some issues with my new grand son, Henry. He is now 5 months old and will be having kidney surgery when he turns 1, in the meantime it's been a lot of back and forth helping my daughter.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I haven't been without knitting, in fact, I am making my very first pair of socks and I must say I am quite liking it a lot. I really never saw the purpose in making socks since they are so easy to purchase and often at fair pricing. However, once I started I understood and have quickly become addicted. They may not look like much in the photographs and can assure they are nearly done with the exception of sewing the toes close. I can see making many more pairs down the road. These where done with <i>Red Heart/Heart and Sole yarn</i>. I thought I might try them first and then go to a more quality yarn although these are pretty darn comfortable, not to heavy and breathable. The <a href="http://www.marymaxim.com/free-ankle-socks-pattern.html"><span style="color: red;">pattern</span> </a>was a bit tricky as most Bernat Patterns often turn out that way. There is a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4A74B32E9221418B"><span style="color: red;">YouTube video</span></a> by Sandy Davis which really helped a ton, explained very well and video taped nicely. Sandy uses Bernat Sox yarn which is a bit heavier on size 3 needles. I used the same pattern with the Red Heart/Heart and Sole yarn on size 2 needles made them a bit longer both at the cuff down and along the foot. I used the size Medium following the pattern and love them. Again I measured my foot and adjust them to the proper length and made them so they bunch up at the ankle. I like my socks that way which are hard to find. As soon as I sew up the toes and weave in the ends I will pop back with a photograph wearing them.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had a little visitor tonight...my grand daughter Emma, 18 months old she is amazing. I am so delighted and grateful for every visit...to see your genetic roots carry on is one incredible thing to have happen in life.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitKaNdVxdeL1L-OYaq7Q5TavhhAlJ9mkOyq9wGHo2lfpA7YVtA75yeTuHOSpqZB9LABmIIsYiZP1IUIFmQ3sDVge4fobqhNmuxV4hHuigc8QsuN914zn_RYPq0BktIYGXZ62j06Vg4bad6/s1600/IMG_6660.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitKaNdVxdeL1L-OYaq7Q5TavhhAlJ9mkOyq9wGHo2lfpA7YVtA75yeTuHOSpqZB9LABmIIsYiZP1IUIFmQ3sDVge4fobqhNmuxV4hHuigc8QsuN914zn_RYPq0BktIYGXZ62j06Vg4bad6/s640/IMG_6660.JPG" width="546" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Her cape was complete, it took me forever to decide what buttons. Back and forth, I just kept placing 5 different possibilities trying to decided what look suited Emma and the cape. Finally I decided on detailed metal buttons for a bit of a vintage appearance. When her dad, my son, Aaron slipped it on her we just fell in love. A cape on a little one is truly something you don't see everyday. When she stood up it was the perfect length. I am satisfied as was her mom and dad. Now I will work one in a soft pink and this time add armholes. I left one button out from the original four, I am glad I did it made a huge difference in how it hung on her tiny shoulders. This pattern is called the <span style="color: red;"> </span><a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/isla-cape"><span style="color: red;">Isla Cape</span></a> on Ravelry by Mel Clark. It's incredible easy and so much fun to knit. I did Emma's in a 2 Toddler and in Cascade 220 Heather 2441. Currently I am working on the <a href="http://cozynesting.blogspot.com/2015/11/earflap-headband.html"><span style="color: red;">head bands </span></a>in an earlier post.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I finally finished my grand daughter, Emma's cape. Despite 3 buttons that have to added later tonight. I am going out to pick them out, I wanted to wait until it was complete.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicZD2OS_sDJrHLMDgIY78tx1BuUtWBR5VsFdx40I5l4SUifF5s2ZvDS6-qlY8iqX4ghue4ReGhpR0iPMJwp1HuT-I86duivddTbLEyLIzQonx6ggk0UXMtiIjxECwEY2Tj-QTeLxJD8HWA/s1600/IMG_6564.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicZD2OS_sDJrHLMDgIY78tx1BuUtWBR5VsFdx40I5l4SUifF5s2ZvDS6-qlY8iqX4ghue4ReGhpR0iPMJwp1HuT-I86duivddTbLEyLIzQonx6ggk0UXMtiIjxECwEY2Tj-QTeLxJD8HWA/s640/IMG_6564.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really enjoyed making this cape and plan on making another one this winter for Emma in spring, only this time I plan on adding armholes. I made this using <a href="http://www.loveknitting.com/us/cascade-220-heathers"><span style="color: red;">Cascade 220 Heathers</span></a> 2441 and love the way the yarn worked on the needles. I am a Cascade fan without a doubt. I think the tag added a bit of a keepsake charm. Don't you agree? Nothing is better than handmade especially when it's from grandma!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am nothing than spontaneous, popping in and out, going here and there, whenever the moment grabs me. Since the last time I posted I've been doing a bit of knitting, YIPPY....it feels so good to be doing so. In fact, oddly enough the weather here in North East Ohio has been nothing other then beautiful, warm, and so very sunny, and nice. The weather unusually warm, trees just turning gorgeous colors, the sun shinning it's just beautiful outside.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So why then am I knitting instead of spending time outside...the knitting, is going on at night. Since the time rolled back... I guess I have to....rolled right back in the chair and have been knitting away.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am currently working this pattern, one of many, I clip out of magazines and put in folders. This one I had to try...sometimes the weather is just cool enough to cover the ears and it's great for my long hair when it's up in a ponytail. Yes, I do wear ponytails and my hair is much longer now then in my bio photograph. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The earflap headband is made using Cascade Venezia Worsted yarn and quite expensive. Since I have such a large shelving unit of yarn... I decide to try it using a Lion Brand tweed. This is just a trial knitting...I always like to do this, for me, the second and so on always turn out the best. All I know it sure looks better then typical ear muffs, and, it's so fashionable.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Don't you agree?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Welcome to my new blog home...a fresh start, a new beginning, into more of what I love. Knitting, crocheting and photography. These are all shot with a Canon EOS T3i. I am not new to photography, however, I am new to shooting nature. Which I am loving tremendously.</div>

I hope you will follow along, with this, my new adventure. Please stop back and watch, even interact, as this little blog grows.</div>
